You've committed to pray for Japan for 30 days! I'm so excited to have you join us in lifting up the country of Japan before our Creator and Healer.

We will be breaking down these 30 days into 4 themes.

Today we will jump right into what to pray about. But before we do we will always start each day with a prayer point from OMF's Prayer Powerlines.

NEW ROLES. Longtime missionaries to Japan are settling into new roles in the field. Some are responsible for first-term missionaries, as well as assisting young missionary families. Pray for this new ministry to be a blessing to the workers and families involved and that it would result in greater retention of long-term missionaries in Japan.

Now onto our Japan30 Prayer Point for today

  • Pastors need a vision for training dedicated disciples, and the skill to do it. Another concern is that even though the church has been growing at a very slow rate, because of low seminary enrollment and retirements there will be a major shortage of pastors by the year 2010. Ask the Lord to provide such people as described in II Timothy 2:2 for the church in Japan. An encouraging trend is that Bible schools targeting laypeople are experiencing a good enrollment.
